To me it's a mix of the best aspects of the first two, and it sounds more like something I would've wanted from Rilo Kiley before we got "Under the Blacklight." Not that I completely hate UTB... it was just so shocking after "More Adventurous" and the B-sides/nonofficially recorded songs of that time period before UTB. Got to see The Elected live for the second time last weekend. Small crowd, unfortunately, and there were rude people in the bar area just talking. But at least I was right up front and enjoyed every moment of it. And Blake has been throwing in a Rilo Kiley song or two into his setlists. There's a contest right now from Los Angeles' "The Deli" magazine to vote for which band people would like to see spotlighted next. The Elected is one of them; anyone reading this should go to the site and vote! Show your love here! don't blow it
